So I went to the workshop on Thursday called “Database Survival at the Library.” I guess they weren’t expecting that many people because there was only two rows of chairs. I ended up standing for the whole workshop which was not pleasant. The librarian started introducing us to the Baruch databases. He showed us a couple of databases we can access with the example “sports and steroids.” He gave us tips on using the databases and I thought having a good vocabulary was a good one. Now that I know how to use the databases, it will be useful for research.
