I went to this event at the Mishkin building for the Arts at Baruch requirement. It had artwork of landscape photography by artists such as Tom Baril, Sally Gall, Eliot Porter, and others. The workshop wanted us to understand and be more familiar with landscape photography. I felt like it was about challenging our views of nature by showing us pictures of flowers, gardens, and cities.
As someone who was interested in photography as a child, I was very interested in attending this workship and it was very fascinating for me to see all these incredible photos. My favorite photograph was the Lumahai Beach by Baril, a brilliant artist and photographer.
This workshop was very comfortable to watch and exciting as well. It definetly met my expectation and I would recommend it to other students because to look at the amazing photos would literally take your breath away. I learned about how being a photographer is not just about taking a one-second picture and then leaving. It’s about finding the right location and the right time. After this workshop, I will start taking photographing seriously in order to get the best results.
