Club fair 9/24/09

Baruch Club Fair
Student Life
9/24/09 1230pm

We all know that Baruch has a lot of clubs for students to join and get involved in. The Baruch Club fair, held on 9/24 in the ARC, showcased a very big percentage of those clubs. All of these clubs were trying to recruit new members and spread their message. I noticed that there were also a lot of fraternities and sororities recruiting.
I chose to go to this workshop because part of going to college, especially at Baruch, is getting involved with extracurricular activities. But sometimes, it’s hard to find a way to get in touch with the club officers. This workshop allowed me to do that and I am considering joining several clubs. Besides the mob to get ID cards swiped and planners signed, overall I felt that this was very organized and planned. All of the clubs had enough information available, and it was not too crowded despite the enormous amount of students at the fair. I would definitely recommend this as a must-do workshop, not just for freshmen, but everyone in general.
