I attended the Mercedes Matter: A Retrospective Exhibition on Nov. 17th in the Mishkin gallery in the 22 second street building at 1 pm. The gallery was very overcroweded and had a long waiting line because only twenty five people were allowed into the exhibition room at one time. When the wait was finally over, i was finally able to see the beautiful still life portraits that Mercedes had created. I really enjoyed her artwork, because she used a lot of colors and shapes and it required some thinking to figure out what she was trying to say in her paintings. I would recommend this workshop to others because one would learn alot about modern paintings and about Mercedes’ art.
