Library Basics Workshop

I attended the Library Basic workshop at 12:45. It was a very instructional workshop in that it taught how to use the library and the resources it provides. For example, students are allowed to rent laptops and calculators for a certain period of time. You are also allowed to check out textbooks for any given class, also for a certain period of time. We were taught how to use the search engine on the library’s website and search for books throughout the entire CUNY system. I see the library as one of Baruch’s greatest resources and I plan on taking full advantage of what it and what it has to offer. I believe this workshop would be very instrumental to other freshmen because they may be unaware of what the library’s potential and this workshop allows us as students to see and understand that potential.
