I have to admit that the club fair was intense. There were a lot of people there, many more then I expected. I saw Latoya there wearing her PSE colors all pumped up advertising her fraternity. She handed me a leaflet on it. Kinda of a let down though comparing that a lot of the other tables were handing out CANDY. I…..LOVE…..CANDY. Its a fact of nature. Needless to say the other tables I visited all had something in common. They all were giving out free candy. That is kind of biast of me to limit the majority of my visits to tables with candy. But giving away free stuff is a common way to get people interested in listening to what you have to say, and it worked. The school spirit in that gym was incredible and by the time I left I felt a part of it was in me.

^^^This proves that no one reads these blogs to often. which is a shame….
The line to get in should have set off a lightbulb in my head like “Hey Jeff. This event looks really packed and disorganized. Theres no control here.” But it didnt. It instead made me think “Wow. This event must be really cool cause there sure are a lot of people here”. If I had known that the event was just one big mess I wouldn’t have gone. As it turned out I was too busy trying to get in and walk around without falling down that I didnt have enough time to collect any interesting and helpful info about any clubs that might’ve interested me.
I liked the club fair, but the only thing that bothered me was that a lot of the clubs seemed to just be a lot of ethnicity centric clubs. However, I did end up signing up to be a writer for The Ticker and got a lot of information about how to submit some of my writings to Encounter’s Magazine. I agree with Kat though, I think if the fair was better organized I would have been able to find these club’s booths a lot faster than I did.
Baruch needs to be better organized. The club fair was so discombobulated. I noticed since the failed Philly trip how the school has not really been up to check with organizing events. I really think even freshman convocation and orientation went as smoothly as it did only because of the peer leaders. If it really weren’t for their help, Baruch would probably be in big trouble trying to have everyone in an orderly fashion. So at the club fair, I was standing in line to get in and this huge buff guy tries to cut in front of me and I hate when people think that they can just do that because I am small. So I said angrily, “Excuse me, I believe I was here first. Stop cutting in line.” And he got really mad at me! Then that imbecile pushes me and gets in before me. The event was absolutely chaotic even inside. I did get a free shirt from The Ticker, an Apple bag from the Mac Club, music CD’s from another club and candy from various clubs. Like Jefferson said, the freebies really got my attention and I visited a lot of clubs because of that. I really liked to hear what each club had to say about their club and the different aspects of culture you could submerge yourself in while in college.
Hi Kat. This is your conscious speaking…..muhahahaha. Fear me!!! lmao. I’m having too much fun with this Kat. Your talking to yourself, well technically your writing to yourself…..How do you feel about that? You probably don’t even remember writing this. You should. But you won’t. You were very tired when you wrote this. Aren’t you feeling sleepy right now? Yes. Your feeling sleepy. Very very sleepy. When I snap my fingers you will quack like a duck **SNAP**.
