And the Academy Award for Best Workshop goes toooooo……..

Impression Management.  [Insert clapping here]. I would like to thank my friends, my coworkers, my family, the Academy for giving me this award, God for allowing me to find my way to room 3-125.  OK. Now that I have your attention somewhat I’ll talk about what I liked about this workshop. This workshop was so informative and interesting in a friendly sort of manner. What I mean by this is that the speaker immediately took the initiative and made herself a friend to us quickly. She insisted on us calling her by her first name which created an atmosphere of equality in which we we’re treated as mature young adults which we are. By giving us the respect we wanted, we have her the respect she deserved and listened to what she said with open ears. I feel that her approach in talking to us was very successful. She proved how easy it was to create a good first impression and captivate the audience, and taught the audience by example the entireity of good impression management. A very subtle appoarch but one the audience, I felt, subconciously noticed and learned from. It was from doing this, that in my eyes, placed her above many other speakers I’ve previously heard from.
