subotonik lab

As freshman in baruch my career will deal alot with the stock market, therefore Dennis and I signed up for a workshop in the Subotonik Lab. Entering the room we were impressed with the live stock updates and the layout of the computers was very impressive. Then we had an instructor enter and he was intstructing us about how to operate these computers because they are different from regular computers. He showed us the software that was in the computer and how to check stocks from different exchanges around the world at the same time. Also he showed us how to calculate if purchasing a specific stock is a risky choice or not. I learned way too much in an hour and a half and my brain was hurting. But the atmosphere and the profound discussions that would erupt in the middle of the lectures were interesting and a great learning experience for me.
