I felt really lost when I attended this. The majority of the students in the room ere either seniors or juniors; there were only 5 or 6 freshmen at most. A couple of people spoke about working at JP Morgan and answered the most popular questions ranging from ‘How is your social life?’ to ‘How is your typical day of work like?’ After the speakers finished talking about their jobs, the students were allowed to go around the room and network. I met some analysts and they all agree that its grueling work. It requires long hours and a lot of hard work. (But i already knew that) In any case, I was more interested in how they got their job and how their social life was. For the people I talked to they either switched from another company or interned at JP Morgan. As for their social lives, everyone seemed to pause before answering. Everyone told me that they still have friends and hang out with them from time to time. Work seemed to be their top priority. I wish them all good luck. And i hope everyone finds a nice person to marry before they reach middle age.
