The Changing Nature of Ethnicity and Power

this forum was very interesting. There was a panel composed of Professors from the Balck and Hispanic Studies Dept. Some of the panelist were Professor Bernard, Professor Fernandez, Professor Henken, Professor Treitler, Professor Hansing. They talked about how race and politics and how they have changed over time. They used the examples of Barack Obama and Sonia Sotomayor. They used live experiences, geographic information, census, book excerpts, and other distinguished people’s quotes to explain their points and opinions. The forum was very informative and after this forum i have considered doing a minor in Latino studies.
