Stress and Anxiety Reduction

On November 10, I took part in the Stress and Anxiety Reduction personal enrichment workshop. Most of the workshop consisted of practicing various  meditation techniques in order to relieve stress. The main goal of this workshop was to help students attain a sense of mindfulness. Mindfulness is the awareness of one’s surroundings in the present moment. Overall, I felt that the workshop taught students a successful way to  to relax and cope with stress. However, I did not think the environment of the room was proper for meditating. The bright lights and uncomfortable chairs did not promote a soothing environment at all.
