Hey everyone, this is my 4th post here (only 2 more-yay!). Here’s the information on the freshman workshop I attended.
Title: SACC: Everything You Need to Know to Pass Math
Date/Time: Thursday, 10/15 @ 12:30-1:30 (VC 3-215)
This workshop aimed to give study tips for math and to discuss the many resources that are available to students. I thought that the workshop was pretty informative. There was a manageable amount of people (around 25-ish) for once. That was probably because the people at the SACC desk weren’t informed that this workshop was taking place and had accidentally sent other students away. In addition the room was occupied by FUSION club members who wanted to do karaoke, so there was a little mix-up with the room, but it was no big deal. I really like the people who were at the SACC desk. They were so nice! So I’ve decided I’m gonna visit SACC like at least weekly (probably more if I plan on doing better than just passing). On that note, the workshop was alright and was moderately informative but it got a little dull after awhile (thank God I was next to Sandra, Diana, and Liz). It didn’t take me outside my comfort zone although it did meet my expectations. I took away some literature from this experience, but not from the workshop-from the SACC center. So, I’m getting tired of writing. Carpe diem/weekend! lolĀ
