We were taken to an art exhibition where we were shown several works of art by a photographer. The photographer showed us about his pictures of different elements of farming. His work was very interesting because he often made some photos into different tones of one color. The other photographs in the exhibit were about landscapes. The landscapes showed us how photographs can be taken in different ways to show different perspectives. The photography was mostly black and white. The one photo that particularly caught my eye was one of a winding road. In a way, that road is representative of our journey from adolescence to adulthood. The workshop itself was therapeutic because we rarely have time during the day to just relax and look at art. I would recommend this workshop to other students because it is very relaxing and helps you clear your mind. Throughout the day, we have a ton of information jammed into our brains, so this was a time for us to let our minds rest. This workshop did not take me out of my comfort zone because I’m generally artistic so I’m used to evaluating art/history. From this experience, I learned that it is important to clear your head sometimes and not to get too worked up about school.
