Using and Evaluating the Web for Research 10/20/09

This workshop is very useful. The speaker taught me better ways of researching such as putting your topic in quotes so that the computer will know what you want. He also told us to make our key phrases brief because the computer will break up the phrase giving you useless information not related to your research topic. He showed us different databases to use, such as Google Scholar and Wildcat. It is very useful for me because I have a research paper coming up soon and this workshop made it easier for me to conduct my research. I’d advise everyone to attend this workshop because you will always have research papers and attending will make your life a whole lot easier.
