Community, Global Awareness: Freshman Reception 09/17/09

Freshman reception back in September was an unexpected workshop for me and for many other incoming freshmen. It was the first time I had seen so many people together, which gave me a chance to actually get to know more people and some of the members of my learning community. Although it helped, I believe that the workshop was not controlled and organized well. There was a massive crowd all over the place and there was confusion about what to get signed and where to go next. it was funny though, just seeing so many people around you, trying to figure out what was going on and seeing the college spirit that the organizers gave us, just made it sort of enjoyable. Overall, with a little more control and organization, it would have been a descent workshop
