“Writing Resume Cover Letters” 10/27/09

On 10/20/09 I went to the “Writing Resume Cover Letter”, organized by the Starr Career Center. I thought the workshop was very usefull for future purposes. Everyone will eventually need to begin the process of apllying for jobs. This process can be tedious and often overwhelming. This workshop gave tips and advice on creating a resume and performing good interviews. In this instance I would deffinitly reccomend this workshop, due to the helpfullness of it. What stood out in my mind was how well organzed the workshop was. Everything was written down on handouts, and it was able to begin on time. I also thought it was good that the speaker was young and well knowledgeable in this field. She knoe a lot about the interview process and what not to put on the resume. My only criticism about the workshop was how small the room was. There was barely enough room for everyone, and many people couldn’t make it inside for the lecture. Overall I would reccomend going to another workshop run by the Starr Carreer Center.
