I originally went to this workshop because it would be earning me extra credit it history. I didn’t have enough time to do the extra credit assignment but i still enjoyed the workshop. Sonia Sotomayor overcame much adversity to achieve what she has. She has also been groundbreaking as she is the first hispanic woman to do many things within the united states government. The workshop also touched upon racism and I agree that it is still around today although not as much as it was when our grandparents were our age. I thought this workshop was interesting because it was a famous person and is something that won’t occur too often at Baruch.
