Something that this career workshop taught me was the significance of giving off a good impression and making the most out of a situation. Everyone knows that the first impression is one of the most important things when taking someone in consideration for a job because usually this is what people remember the most. This is especially true at a school such as Baruch where they are supposed to prepare us for the business world and how to present ourselves.
One part I didn’t understand was then the man presenting the workshop wasn’t to show the importance of getting out of your comfort zone. If he knew no one was going to do the activity, he might as well done something different. On the other hand the instructor was one of the most involves from any other one of the workshops I have gone to. He made the workshop more entertaining by involving the students more.
