This photography exhibit was quite interesting. I don’t think I have paid any attention to the art around Baruch before this exhibit. There were so many different perspectives on one single topic: landscapes. There were the typical images of mountains and plains but there were also different photographs such as people posing their bare butts to seem like mountains. There was also a photograph of telegraph wires seen in a grapevine. To not have boring images of everyday landscapes was a difficult task that I believe the curator accomplished. It was interesting to compare these images because they were so very different. I think that it is going to be very interesting for the next three years seeing the different art exhibits because you never know the themes that are going to be up and which pieces of art are going to portray these themes. Another reason I enjoyed this particular workshop was because unlike the others where they try to teach you things about life, you did not have to learn anything. Of course there was someone giving you brief details about each artwork but only you could’ve interpreted it. I look forward to going to other art exhibits given at Baruch.
