I always was wanted to know what kinds of clubs Baruch had to offer becasue I felt that since it was a Cuny, it would not have a great variety of clubs like other colleges. I was pretty surprised as there were enough stands and groups to fill the entire main gym. I arrived with the huge crowd waiting to get in and I had to say it was a pretty chaotic. One thing that I would like for Baruch to improve on is the organization of these kinds of events. Obviously there would be a huge turnout for these kinds of events and they only had two people working the hall way swiping each person’s ID’s as they went inside. This was the only problem though but should be taken into consideration for next time
Once inside, I was overwhelmed by all the people walking around and things going on. I had to decide a certain path to get to all the tables and clubs. Most of the clubs had light snacks and souvenirs for their visitors. I tried to visit as many clubs as possible just to get a sense of what was out there for me at Baruch. I ended up getting into some pretty in depth conversations with the club members and I actually signed up for a few. I think my favorite part of the event was toward the back of the gym, a group of break dancers had attracted a circle of onlookers. They were really entertaining and hilarious which made the whole fair more memorable.
