I actually joined the ECO club. I can be a nature freak at times so I think it works for me helping out preserving the environment and stuff. I was disappointed that the Photography Club was a no show however. I have been trying to join since I got to the school but the Student Life office seems to have no clue and I cant really get into contact with anyone about it. I’ll just keep checking back every week or so I guess
How come there was no MANAGEMENT CLUB!?!? Oh well, I pretty much looked around to see what might interest me. I really liked ballroom when I took it in high school so I’m going to check out the ballroom club. For people interested too, they should come.
The club fair was not very organized . I walked around different tables and found one club interesting. I talked to Beta Alpha Psi club member and she gave me information about their requirements. At this point I don’t qualify for this club because I need to have college grades and credits. So I guess I’ll join them ext year. If anyone’s interested it’s an honor society comprised of accounting, finance and computer information student. I really wanted to join a dance club but I didn’t find any at the club fair so I guess I’ll go to Baruch website and check it out. 🙂
I agree, I thought the fair was way too crowded to really look at all the clubs thoroughly. But I really liked the variety of clubs that were available to us. I was surprised to see we even had a pre-law society (since Baruch is so business-oriented). Which makes me wonder if we have a pre-law major? or would it be an ad-hoc major? just wondering out loud~
i thought it was too crowded, had a hard time getting around some of the areas. I found a few clubs that interested me. Of all the clubs that i was interested in, none are towards my major. I feel that i should enjoy my first semester, and explore possible majors before joining a specific club for a specific major.
Well I decided to join clubs that would benefit my future =] and work towards my major. Overall the club fair was interesting as the variety of clubs that were offered was immense. Too bad handball maniacs was big ball only :[.
