No not literally, but NASA plans to bomb a part of the moon in order to search for water! Good news and bad news…Good news is that if NASA hits water, hooray… bad news is… what if somehow the explosion causes a disruption? I mean like… they need to go pretty deep to hit water. Therefore wouldn’t it require some kind of big explosion? I can imagine chunks of rocks that fly out of the moon’s gravitational pole and start hurling towards earth. Perhaps the moon will shift due to the big explosion and disrupt the tides or whatever. Oh possibilities! Our tax dollars are going to fund NASA to blow up the moon!

What do you guys think?

Well I’m disappointed… It was supposed to be raining cheese =[.

On a serious note, I much rather see NASA go to Mars than spending money creating impact craters. (We already have asteroids to do that). To the general public, the impact wasn’t captivating at all. I agree as well. Now I wonder what happened to that Hydron Collider that was supposed to create mini black holes. That seemed way more interesting.

OMG, that’s crazy. I don’t think they should do that because we have done so many bad things to nature; it’s too much. I have a feeling it will soon have a revenge on us and destroy the mankind. We try too hard to understand what is going on around us scientifically that in the process we don’t realize how it affects things around us. I’m just afraid that too much curiosity might affect us negatively. I just think we should leave some things as they are, because what if there is no scientific explanation for certain things. Going back to the moon explosion issue I think they should just leave it alone. I believe that whatever is destined to happen it will happen anyways. And even if there is water on the moon I don’t think that will change anything, because if something happens to the earth moon will go down with it.
