Lunch @ Ichiumi

DSC00765

Here’s our group picture.

Lunch at Ichiumi was a pretty good experience. I never tried Japanese food and I’m not much of a fancy restaurant person as I am a fanatic for home-cooked food. Nonetheless, everything was pretty good. The fried shrimp, tofu, the desert, you name it. I’ve been on a losing-weight trek for about 2 years and I made sure I went and did some exercise after that meal. Hoping everyone enjoyed it as well… So yeaaaa. Comment

    I had a great time at Ichiumi. Thanks to Nelson for its suggestion. I got to try a lot of chinese dishes that I always just thought of trying “one day”. With a better understand of the chinese cuisine, I now know what to order and not just stick to the regular broccoli chicken. I wish I was in the photo because as far as I recall this is the only photo we have together as LC 16.

    I wish I stayed for the picture. If I knew you were going to take a pic I would have stayed :(. I loved that restaurant, food was great, especially the miso soup I had. Ectually some of the things I ate didn’t know what I was eating. So hopefully I didn’t have octapus or something like that. I would go to that restaurant again. the atmpsphere was nice and not too loud. The food was fresh and everything else was good. I had a great time. 🙂

    Haha its great how you named it LC family dinner! Yeah I loved the variety that Ichi Umi supplies. I remember back then when it was Minados or Todais, the food was pratically the same but in less variety. Actually the whole resturant didn’t change that much. But with the increase of variety in the foods, I seemed to enjoy it a lot more. Will definately go back! Althought I prefer my all-you-can eat jap resturants in Brooklyn >.>;

    Jason, we tried calling everyone back, but you guys left so quickly. I’m sorry if people didn’t like the food there. I personally really like their food and Sherwin, I don’t think the food has been out for long. They have people stationed there to add and switch foods. They also keep the food warm. I really enjoyed our LC family dinner. I hope everyone else did too.

    Why do you think I called you guys to come back? hahaha. We can always photoshop you people in.

    Anyway, I’m not a huge fan of “buffet” style restaurants, I may come back to this one (I’m not even a fan of sushi either). Despite the food being out in the open and end up sorta cold/stale (sole reason for not liking buffets), most of it was pretty good. The shrimp tempura was my favorite. The ramen was not bad either. When I ate that…wheat noodle, I wish it was hot so it would taste a lot better (although it was good already). The chicken wings or something had an interesting flavor…but hard to eat cause it out for a long time. The teriyaki was a bit chewy….hahahaha. The japanese styled grilled chicken was pretty good. Overall it was a fun and great time.

    Note….do not put jello next to your rice or tempura…
