Managing Relationship Workshop

I went to this workshop on thursday and I decided to write about it even though it was nothing special. Few of us went to it together and it was not for two hours as it said, which was good. I was an easy workshop you had to just sit there and listen to the philosophy professor talk about the four most important things for managing relationships in college. I think they were the following: family, network, romance and … ( don’t remember one of them, sorry). I guess one of the important things she told us was the LINKIN.COM website, for which all of us should register because we’ll find connections and job opportunities for later. I found the “getting to know new people” little awkward. But overall it was ok.

This workshop wasn’t that bad, but I didn’t really like the whole, getting to know knew people idea. I think that the fourth most important thing for managing relationships in college was friendships, but I’m not sure. I’m pretty shy when it comes to meeting new people too, but congratulations on the 92, that’s really good. I’m actually really nervous about taking a communications class.

Yes this work shop was very basic. Gave us a lot of details on relationships but they were things we probably knew, but don’t put into practice a lot. The website was “Linkedin.com” (have it misspelled up there). However I also agree that it was awkward to meet some new people. I’m the type of person that’s comfortable with people I already know and have trouble communicating with new people. Essentially, its something I tried to go against with my college transition (has it worked?… sort of).

I think something that helps me with it all in communication class. Although I was very nervous during my first presentation… the 92 grade was very uplifting for me. I hope I get better at building relationships with people in college. After all, I’d hate to be that guy majoring in a business related field but lacking basic, necessary, communication skills.
