Double Majors

I read in The Ticker that Zicklin students weren’t allowed to double major. What’s up with that? The article says that Zicklin doesn’t actually have a reason for this, is that true? I think it’s unfair that we’re not allowed to double major…

  1. well i think you can only double major in Weissman but i went to the Music Industry club meeting a week ago and one of the club leaders said how he combined a BBA major (forgot which one) with a specialization with Music through Weissman. The downside was that it would take an extra semester at least because of the extra credits. Also I’m not sure if it’s technically a double major since I don’t think he would also receive a BA in Music through Weissman. I think he would just receive the BBA with a specialization in Music. So for alex, you might want to think about taking a similar path. I was planning on going to the School of Public Affairs but I also hear that they have a similar policy where you can’t double major =/ I was hoping to combine something in public affairs with journalism. I’ll have to find out some more info tho. Hope that helps

  2. yeah but because its all business related they all have something to do with each other which could also possible make it easier than you think. I was also interested in double majoring in law and business but i guess now I’m going to have to think that over. I’ll probably go to one of the guidance counselors and ask them what to do.

  3. Do you really want to do a double major in Zicklin? That seems to be a lot of extra work…and the load might be too much for any student to bear, especially since it’s all business related.
