Mike Bloomberg is mayor.

Mike Bloomberg got his third term as mayor. My dad is pissed. What it means for him, is more parking tickets and stricter violation punishments.  He feels like Mike Bloomberg is a “blood-sucker” who preys on blue collar workers who depend on driving commercial vehicles to work everyday. Throughout the years, he’s been hit with violations that threaten his earnings in his line of work.

I personally am not that involved in politics, but I know that many people are angry at Bloomberg for squeezing their wallets to try to fill the city’s deficit. I can see that people aren’t happy. What’s your view on Bloomberg?

  1. you’re lucky Auran, girls can get out of a ticket way easier. i wasn’t in the car when the ticket was issued, so i went to the dmv to try to appeal. when the judge saw that i was only 17 he was like “youngest driver huh?” and basicly didnt listen to my case at all. they all hate new drivers. next time, ill just go for the reduction -___-

  2. I talked my way out of a ticket.
But the thing is cops in NY have a quota to meet every month too. They need to get rid of that so the cops are not such douchebags at the end of the month.
And I mean come on, is anyone really surprised that Bloomberg is mayor?

  3. well, sort of. i mostly use it to drive my mom to work and back on the days off from school and go buy groceries. Rarely i use it to go places with my friends because its embarassing. It’s my fathers blue minivan haha.. im getting a car in December. cant waitttttt

  4. Ironic you mention traffic tickets, my parents got a ticket because my younger sister didn’t put her seat belt on in the back seat. Well, for a guy who wanted to charge parking meters on Sundays, he’s definitely a pain.

  5. i think he should refund me $115 for a parking ticking. i was 2 mins late because i fell asleep on the couch during alternate side parking =( time is money.
