I went to the club fair to see what clubs there were at Baruch. I saw the apple club, Wall Street Club, Finance And economics Society, Golden Key, Sigma Alpha Delta and the Archery Club. I joined the ones that I mentioned and I hope it will turn out pretty fun. I participated in this event because I am a freshman and I need to see what this school is able to offer me at a college level. It turned out as I expected. I didn’t expect that much and I didn’t expect anything less. There was a few clubs that sounded interesting and I signed up. I believe every freshman should go to a Club fair to see what you can do outside of school work. Life is not always about school and I stand by that. There wasn’t much that surprised me other than the delicious cupcakes I got from joining a club. What I could take away from this experience? I feel that this was more of a networking event and meeting people it certainly helped me connect to the school a lot more.

I also found the club very helpful. Though there didn’t seem to be as many clubs as was advertised, I did find some interesting ones that I was not aware Baruch had (such as the Music Industry Club). I was glad to find out that there were a couple of volunteer/community service type clubs, each with unique agendas. Unfortunately, most of the clubs I had signed up for meet on Tuesdays at pretty much the same time. Anyway, it’ll be fun getting more involved in some of these clubs.
The club fair was very interesting because there were just so many people there. As a feshman, going there helped me alot because I saw the many diverse clubs the school has to offer. I went in there not knowing what clubs i wanted to join, while inside i met with club leaders who told me what that specific club was all about. In the end it made my decision process a lot easier. I joined about three clubs and i look forward to being apart of them throughout my years at Baruch.
