  1. Was the tour all that necessary? Didn’t feel that way to me. Yes, it was required, but still, most of what we saw on the tour were things that anyone could discover if they stepped into the building on their own and looked around. I’m not saying that people wouldn’t benefit from a guided tour, as some of you may have, but in all honesty I feel that I knew all that i needed to know about the library before the tour was even announced. However, for the many students who feel as if they don’t have the time to go to a library to look around, or feel as if they don’t have a reason to, then a mandatory tour would solve that problem.

  2. The tour was definitely helpful. It made me aware of the many useful resources (laptop rentals, computer lab, etc.) available in the library that I might not otherwise have discovered. I would highly recommend the library tour to introduce future freshmen to the library’s many facilities and resources.

  3. I think that the tour was helpful. I learned about some of the resources that were available that I didn’t know of before. Also, I became more familiar with the building and where everything is located. I would recommend that incoming freshmen have a tour of the library to familiarize themselves with it.
