I attened the Academic Enrichment – Library Basics workshop today. The librarian gave us a very thorough tour of the Baruch library website. She taught us how to navigate and use the website to our advantage. She showed us how to access the E-Reserves for our classes. In addition, she told us that we could renew our books online to avoid paying late fees. Then she explained to us how we can use the Subject Field tool to find useful databases to do our research papers. Then she introduced the idea that there were ways to talk to a librarian through an online chat, if there is any questions we need to ask.

The Library Basics workshop was definitely enlightening. It is a highly recommended workshop because one can use the library website to your advantage for papers or anything in general. The librarians were very generous through the way she gave the presentation and answered questions.I found the Subject Field tool on the library worksite could be very useful when it comes to papers. With that, it would be easier to do research papers with the various database sources we have. It is good to know that we can renew our books online if anything, because nobody wants to pay any late fees.  I did not know that there was an online chat system with librarians which was rather intersting when I learned about it. We can borrow as many books as we want, so that is great to know since I like to read.
