Internship & Goal Setting

Career Planning: Internship & Goal Setting.

VC 1-107

The workshop took place in the multipurpose room and was set up quite similar to freshman orientation. There were rolls after rolls of chairs facing the platform. The PowerPoint were shown on projector on both sides of the room. Upon entering the room, students were to line up so that they may enter their names into the system for attendance. The Baruch Internship Coordinator was very organized and on schedule. She started the workshop promptly at the scheduled time. Those who didn’t sign in were to do so at the end. A booklet with information on resume building and internship details were placed on each chair. The coordinator then proceed to explain the information in the PowerPoint and the booklet.

The workshop was very helpful. The coordinator explained each factor clearly and with much detail. It was a good idea for the coordinator to plan group activities and asked questions. It provided interaction with audience and kept them engaged. Personally, I believe that the coordinator did a great job of presenting the materials to the audience. She answered questions and provided many useful information. If anyone wanted to intern, it would be a great a idea to visit her in her office.
