For this workshop, I actually registered for it so it would guarantee a seat for me. I was expecting them to sign us in at the door but that was not the case. The workshop was overcrowded with people. I thought they should have done something to limit the people who went especially those who did not register. When I got seated, a few minutes later the presentation began. The speaker went through many significant aspects of the interviewing process. We even did a mock personal pitch with the person sitting next to us.  The speaker taught us how to give a proper handshake and sit with good posture. Also, I was given a packet of information about interviews.

I think this is my favorite workshop. It was very informative and what I learned from the workshop will definitely help me with interviews. The packet is very uesful and will serve as a guidebook for me. The PowerPoint presentation enhanced the workshop experience becacuse it highlighted the important ideas and goals of an interview session. I learned many things I did not know about. I did not know about thank you letters prior to this workshop. The speaker gave us many tips to do well in an interview. I felt like Baruch is truly preparing us with such a good Starr Career Development Center. I think the Career Exploration workshops are essential for all students. I am actually interested in going to another Career Planning workshop because of the great experience with this workshop.
