Multipurpose Room, NVC 1-107

The Annual Student Services Fair consisted of tables set up in the Multipurpose Room. There were different representatives from different parts of Baruch waiting for students to ask questions. Some of the tables that I stopped by included Student Life, Financial Aid, Bursar Office, etc. I asked a few questions concerning my financial aid bill and I was able to fix a problem that I was having regarding it. The room was really packed so I mostly tried to get my ticket stamped and get to lunch. A lot of the tables had free stuff to give away to persuade students to stop by.

One of the best tables that I stopped by was the Starr Career Development Center table. There were a lot of fliers posted up on a board explaining some of the greatĀ opportunitiesĀ that Starr offers to Baruch students. One of the representatives there talked to a group of us about some of the services they had including resume and job interview workshops. This office could assist students with writing a successful resume as well as teach them how to act in a successful interview when applying for jobs. I was definitely interested in this so I took a flier for future visits. I hope to take advantage of these services during my time at Baruch.

Eventually, my friends and I left this workshop. We were able to collect a lot of fliers and information.
