On Thursday October 22nd, there was the internship and goal setting workshop in the VC Multi-Purpose room. It was a pretty large presentation workshop and a lot of students showed up. The internship coordinator set up a powerpoint to show us her presentation. Basically, she went through all the points of having an internship especially for business majors, which was very interesting to me.
The workshop itself was very informative. I had already begun sessions at the Starr Career Exploration Center so there was a bit of stuff I knew already. However, the coordinator showed a very organized presentation about the factors and importance of internships. It made me want to work harder so that I could get an internship. It was also a double win when I heard that some internships can give college credit. I will definitely be looking out for those.
