On October 13th, there was a student services during our club hours in the multi-purpose room at the Vertical Campus. There was a bunch of people there since this fair was catered towards freshmen who didn’t know much about the services that the school offered. It was similar to the club fair except the tables here showed off the services that the school itself offered. Some prominent ones were the Writing Center, Starr Career Development Center and the Testing & Evaluation Center. I realized that I should start on my sim-net practices and register for a test soon.
The Starr Center also showed me the path that I’m supposed to follow for a successful career. From the fair, I made an appointment with the center with Monica. The fair was very helpful and surprising. It was nice to see that Baruch offered so many services for its students even though it’s not a campus school. It’s services are just as good as any other colleges and it’s always there. I also learned that even though the services are there, the student has to reach out for help rather than waiting for help. Help is always there if someone needs it.
