Global Awareness

It was a Monday when we didn’t have freshman orientation. I decided to attend a workshop, so I went over to the freshman orientation office to see what workshop was going on. They told me to go check this workshop out in the library building. I went to library and walked around for awhile because I was lost. Finally, I found the room and sat down. It was really formal. There were a lot of important looking people sitting down taking notes. At first I was intimated at what this workshop could possibly be. I thought all the workshop was suppose to be freshman based.

The speakers started to speak. There were talking about diversity and globalization. Some speakers were professors and some speaker were students. They made really interesting points and I got into it. I am really for supporting diversity. Since I am a minority in this country, it made me pay attention to the speakers even more. I think this was my favorite workshop out of all the workshops I attended.
