I was looking forward to this workshop because I have been feeling very stressed out about my exams and other school work. Only a limited amount of people were able to attend and we were one of the first ones there. The speaker didn’t seem to have control of the audience. He spoke in a low voice and he didn’t do much about the people that were talking. Everyone was annoyed of the students that were laughing and talking in the back. I barely heard what the speaker was talking about.
He gave us some handouts and made us to some excercises. He passed out raisins and each student was suppose to take one. He told us to put the raisin on our palm, examine it, feel its texture, roll it around on our palm, and then finally put it in our mouths. We couldn’t chew just yet. We had to let it roll around on our tongue before we could to bite it. A lot of people refused to put it in their mouths because they thought it was a bit unsanitary. I did and it actually tasted better after going through all those steps before actually eating it.
He also made us listen to a recording on how to relax your body. We were stretching our arms, legs, hands, fingers, feet, and face. I thought the face stretching was funny because nobody did it. We were suppose to close our eyes and stretch our face by making funny looking faces but no one did. Overall, I think the workshop was alright. It would have been better if the students in the back stopped talking and if he could have projected his voice a bit more.
