This workshop was also located in the multipurpose room and it was on October 22nd. We were shown a powerpoint presentation and given a booklet that contained information about undergraduate internships that we may be interested in trying. The coordinator explained the information to us on the powerpoint. She was very informative. She told us internships tend to look at high GPAs, extracurricular activities and leadership positions. She also gave us websites to look at that would contain internship information.
Though I am not interested at the moment I hope to participate in an internship during my junior year to further my knowledge in a field of my choosing. I still question what I want to major in and internships would help me greatly to make that decision an easier process. By doing an internship I would be able to participate in that career field and figure out how my life would be if I were to pursue that career path. Hopefully I will be able to do a paid internship in the near future.
