I have always been able to handle my stress and workload within my previous years, but I still wanted to check out this workshop on November 3rd. The guy in charge asked everyone to complete a few activities, one involving a raisin. The activities seemed interesting but I doubt I would do any of them when I am stressed out. Though I tend to procrastinate a lot and end up with a huge workload when projects are due or when exams are rapidly approaching, I still have always managed to get my work done.
I think going to a school like Brooklyn Tech has prepared me well for college. Granted I will admit, making the transition into college life was a little difficult at first, but now that I am settled in, I feel it is a lot easier than high school. Some of the methods I would use before to get read of my stress was just to music while I worked or talk to a friend or two on aim. And on those late nights when I would stay up to continue working I would just climb in the shower if I got drowsy to wake myself up again. I think I will stick with my methods for the time being. The only problem is I should make more use of my free time. Still I could see the workshop being useful to students who have a harder time dealing with stress.
