I remember I went to this reception a long time ago and I guess I should have blogged right away. Now I cannot remember all the details in that meeting but I will try to come up with some contents.
Basically, this reception was leading by Ms. Brown who is an advisor and she explained whole bunch of things that freshmen should know and things that we are going to have to go through. Besides, she also mentioned about gpa and how to choose minors based on our personalities. At the end, she explained how responsible an advisor should be to help out many students or advisee
This was a good experience. As a freshman, how possibly can he/she know about this school? However, Ms. Brown at this meeting told us many useful things that we are going to have to use to be good students or to be successful in this college. This reception also reminded me of the importance of getting adequate credits to do certain things such as getting into Ziklin school or making an appointment with the advisement office. This is why I would recommend this workshop to anybody who is new in this school. It can get you an basic idea of how you are going to get through in this school.
