Immigration-Religion

So I attended a lecture on immigration and religion, primarily focused on immigration between Germany and Vietnam. I found this interesting because I didn’t even know there was such mass immigration between Vietnam and Germany. I also learned that there were “contract workers” which by their name, were immigrants who only lived in Germany to work under a contract, and after the contract was over, they were forced to leave. The actual lecture itself was hard to follow, because the woman giving the lecture had a slight accent and was using sophisticated vocabulary combined with a droning voice made it hard to pay attention. Though when finally the floor was open to questions, I actually became more interested in what was going on. It seemed interesting to be in that field of work, being able to travel around the world and live in the area you are researching on. Overall, it was a pretty good workshop, though the woman could have been more engaging. I’m just glad I finished these mandatory workshops.
