Student Services Fair

I did not like this workshop at all. Most of the people at the workshop (myself included) were just there to get a signature. In anticipation of this, the faculty decided to have a fail-safe plan where each student had to get ten “holes punched.” The workshop was basically a room filled with different stands and speakers, and each hole represented a different stand. The speaker at the stand would “punch” your “hole” after you and the speaker spoke for a while. However, this just created an anxious tension in the room and the speakers were definitely aware of that. It was in fact very tedious to get ten holes punched, because I’m sure even the most wide eyed eager student would not have had ten specific questions for ten different stands. Also, the there was very little space in the room, and it was annoying to have to squeeze by ten different bodies just to get to a stand a few feet away.
