club fair

Since there’s supposed to over 170 clubs at Baruch, I think I expected more out of the club fair. But it wasn’t that bad, considering there was free food and drinks, and I enjoyed the dancing circle at the back the gym. I did like TEAS, maybe because they were all wearing pink (lol), but they were also very welcoming. I’m also interested in the SACC development center, (I think that’s what it’s called), and in the future I’d hope that they can help me land an internship or a job.

After being at the club fair, I feel like I want to be more active, or involved in the school’s community. I know a lot of people who just go to Baruch for classes and then go straight home, but I want to actually be involved inside the school. So I guess that’s what I got out of the club fair – a sense of community and a desire to be a part of it.

I think you might mean the “STARR Career Development Center” aka the CDC. SACC is the Student Academic Counseling Center, which is a great place to visit for tutoring or help in almost any subject.

I’m glad you’re looking to get involved! I can’t tell you how important it is in your own personal development. It’s made my college experience worthwhile and unique. I’m speaking as someone who was not involved in high school and who decided to make a change.
