The last public speaker I listened to was a politician who spoke at my high school graduation ceremony. The key word in that statement being actually listened haha. He spoke about his life and the hardships he had went through and suprising enough that was very interesting and I could see he caught the attenetion of most of us because we could relate to his stories. He then went on to tell us how he became a politician and got involved with that and he began to lose us haha. He stressed the importance of education and networking in our lives for the most part I felt that I learned valuable information from his words of wisdom. He kept the speech fairly short for the most part, unlike some people who talk for what seems like days, and even though he did studder a few times nobody is perfect. I have to say it was one of the best speeches I have ever heard. I hope maybe one day I can go back to a previous school of mine and speak to the students because sometimes that may be all a kid needs to hear to give them that extra push to make something of themselves.
