i went to hear several students to read their monologues on Monday. its kind of fun but some of monologues are really sad. students who read that monologue even cried in front of our. i have the same feeling as them, especially, when we lost our relatives, it is the worst thing in the world. even this monologue lasted for 2 hours, but it contains happiness, sadness and anger.i hope in my rest of my life, my all family and friends will have a great time and most important thing which is safty.
Sharing our monolugues
That’s so funny! When those actors read the monologues we cannot stop laught. The writer of the monologues write in a funny way and the readers read in a funnytone. Of couse, some of the monolugues have sad story. I was pretty angry when I heard the story of bullet a girl. I hope all of our freshmen can have a good school life in baruch college and in their own daily life. As a freshmen we enjoy our first year of school. I hope we can also enjoy the rest years of the college. Good luck everyone!!!
Voices!!
It was really interesting to hear the actors read the monologues that the students wrote this semester. It was really amazing how they read the monologues with passion and emotion. Some were funny and some were really sad. The ones that still last in my memory is the one where this actress read the one where we can hear the inner thoughts of a basketball player, chicken nugget, and the girl being bullied where her boyfriend was told by another bully to hit her on the face, and the one where the actor read “Baruch, Baruch, Baruch is on Fire!!!!!” Maybe that is the reason why the fire alarm goes off soo much in the vertical campus building!
Register Workshop
From this workshop, I was able to learn a lot about how to register and what to register. The advisor explained things really clearly, I was able to get an idea of what I need to take next semester to all the way to senior semester years. I had a question about enrolling in the summer school and my minor. I wanted to enroll the summer school in different CUNY school but I was wondering if I could get equal amount of credits. She gave me a good explanation on how summer and winter session works. From hearing this workshop, I was able to make up my mind on what I should take over next semester and coming up summer.
Registration Workshop
The registration workshop was a day before my registration, which was on the 8th. This workshop was extremely helpful in updating my information on what courses were high priority. The lady speaking was very detailed and she had her information in an organized order. She also answered many of the questions that were asked among the audience, and even provided extra solutions to any problems. She was very enthusiastic about her speech and I’m glad she’d incorporated some humor into it.
I’m also very thankful for her presence because earlier that morning, I had stopped by the registrar office. It was packed and I never have any patience to wait in any lines, so I left with the hope of returning at night. When I discovered that she was there to answer any questions I had, I was extremely glad since I register the very next day.
class registration workshop.
Before attending this workshop, I was really frustrated about what classes to register for for the next semester because I have never gone through this process before. The workshop gave me a lot of informative clues about what classes I should consider as high priorities and what classes I can consider later on. As an intended major of Accounting, I should take the prerequisite business classes so that I can get into my desired school at Baruch College. I also learned a lot about the different credit requirements to receive different degrees. This Workshop is really helpful.
10/27/2011, what I learn from the workshop event.
This is a very good workshop which provides lots of useful information about manage your money. The speaker is from columbia university. He leading the audience to realize that we are wasting money all the time. So in general he talks about how to invest, about bank account, and skills to protect yourself. What we should learn is to have a good life with less spending of money.
His manily foucus is on credit card. Losts of students drop out from the college because of their lack of ability to use their credit cards in good way. So if you don’t manage your credit card well it may cause your degree. Since I don’t use credit card now I feel kind of safe, but in the future I will use it anyway. Therefore I have to learn skills to manage my money and credits.
Registration workshop
From this registration workshop, I learned which classes should I take for next semester. And I learned that if my classes is failing, I need to drop that class and that will not affect my GPA. And the differences between the BA, BBA, and BS. I also learned I need 144 credits to graduate from BBA program.
The class registration workshop
This monday, i went to the class registration workshop. The advisor told us how to choose course in the next semester. i got a lot of ideas on how could we choose a useful course and you’d rather drop a class with “w”, than fail that class with a “f”,because it would affect your GPA in order to affect your future major. and some of those courses that are kind of diffcult, you better take it this semester, because when your major class coming, these non-major classes would be a pressure to you.Overall, through this event, i learned a lot of information for my future classes.
what I learn from Class Scheduling
I got lots of valueble information from the meeting of class scheduling event. Since I am interesting in a major of accounting, I need a BBA title. So I need Ecomonic, law and business courses. I also heard a good news that the math will be no more if I finish math2207. Antro and political science will be also done after this fall. Now I am waiting for the date of scheduling, I hope I can find a best schedule for myself and enjoy my freshmen year!
