The Week of 9/12/11

Hey everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful week! How have the first few weeks been for you guys? Stressful? Fun? Both? I see a lot of you are becoming good friends, which is terrific! My week has been fun! I went to my best friend’s sister’s sweet sixteen and had a blast, but the highlight of my week came on that beautiful Wednesday, September 14th. I planned the day for months! Me and a good high school friend of mine went to see the Big 4, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer, four of the most influential metal bands in history! Unfortunately, I had a class until 5:25, so I missed Anthrax perform. I came just in time to see Megadeth play. They were great. Slayer was insane! They wouldn’t put their guitars down. They kept blowing the roof off of the stadium even though the stadium doesn’t have a roof. Metallica, the headliner and most popular of the four bands closed the show with a two hour performance that consisted of both their older and more recent songs. One of their songs, entitled “Blackened” featured a crazy laser show which you can all see on my facebook page! I will be honest, this was my first actual concert and I am 100% sure that there will never be a more epic performance. I am a huge fan of rock and to see these four bands take the stage at Yankee Stadium. I’m sure it was the biggest cocnert to have hit the Big Apple and I will never forget it! To the rest of you, what was the best moment of your week? Share by commenting on this post! The Big 4
