In the link attached are 8 pictures that roughly describe who I am. One is of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. I visit Palestine every summer, and being palestinian is vital part of who I am. The Dome of the Rock is also a masque, where muslims pray and being muslim is another big component of my life. Another picture is one I took from Istanbul. I love to travel- and I went to Istanbul in august making it the last place I went. There is also a picture of some of 50 cousins. Coming from a big family had a big part in my upbringing- I consider them 50 siblings rather than cousins. Grace Kelly is a just a big fashion inspiration and I love her, which is why I also have the picture of the shoes- I love fashion. Harry Potter was also a big part of my childhood. They were my first “big people” books in the 2nd grade. I was born and raised on Staten Island- so even though I say i hate it – Staten Island is my home. And lastly, there is a pic of my camera and I. I love taking pictures-, even though this camera was a colossal waste of money.
Bayan, thank you for including the slideshow so that I could view the images. I love these photographs of Palestine and also the photograph of Istanbul; I have always dreamed of visiting Jerusalem but have been worried about the safety (maybe we can discuss this one day). Having a tie with culture is something that many take for granted! I too have a love of all things “fashion” (wish I could afford those shoes). Grace Kelly was such a visionary and I am glad you relate to her!
