Just in case the blog doesn’t show who wrote this, this is Alexa 🙂
I don’t think these songs define me whatsoever, but since I do spend a big chunk of my time listening to music– this represents part of my interests. These songs are only a tiny portion of what I listen to. I don’t exactly have favorite songs since they’re always changing, so I decided to pick songs I never get tired of. I also had to add an extra song .. since the G.O.O.D Music album just came out hehe :3
Alexa, you put a lot of rap/hip-hop music- is this currently what peaks your interest? Are there any lyrics that hold true for you or that you relate to in the music? What, if any, music would you be open to that you’ve yet to try? Thanks for sharing.
Angela
I prefer rap generally, it’s not a current interest it’s a long-term one. Don’t get me wrong I do step outside the bounds of rap on occasion, for instance Linkin Park is my favorite band. However I just prefer the lyricism of the artists I’ve listed above. For artists like Angel Haze, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole I appreciate their intellect and wordplay. The other songs listed up there aren’t necessarily extremely lyrical I just like their general sound/theme and production.
Very good reflection! Thank you!
