Honestly, college life has been okay so far, nothing too exciting. One piece of advice for you…try not to take any early classes. When I say early, I mean 8 o’clock classes! Especially if it is English, math, political science or philosophy… pretty much any class. One thing I learned in college? You meet people with all sorts of names. Like Nick-a-nan? Nichanan? I love you but that’s one of the strangest name I ever heard. I remember, I had to ask my friend to ask her what her name was because I forgot… and it was like the 5 or 6th day and supposedly I was her friend. Sigh. Anyways, I love breaks! Breaks! Breaks! Having awkward professors in all of your classes can be tiresome, especially when you try to stay awake. I’m serious. Half the class is half-asleep, some are on facebook and tumblr and the rest is knocked out…no names will be mentioned… Sung, Jacky, Kalden, and especially you Steve. Anyways, from professors who laugh at their own jokes to professors who say ‘um’ a hundred times in one class, college has been alright. For those who can’t take this all in needs to get a straw and suck it up because this is college. No one gives a **** about you unlike in high school. Sorry, I’m actually a hot-headed angry little girl on the inside. Overall, take what college has to offer and in the end it will all be worth it.
Jane, you have such a big voice! I really like the angle from which you approached your monologue- it was sarcastic and funny. I am glad that you have established a peer group. Hopefully you will have more control over the timing of classes in the future! Nice job!
