The visit to the Gallery is more like a photography class because the instructor taught us many knowledge about taking photos and appreciating them. I really enjoy it!The pose of the character, his position in the picture,the angle of the camera… are all important. The other thing impressed me is the improvisation of Jazz and many painters get inspiration from it. Different kinds of art are connected subtly, and the most wonderful work are usually flowed out naturally instead of intentionally.

I do not show much interest in religious things usually. But it is still enjoyable to experience a culture, a new world that I had never been.The big painting in a separate room impresses me most. The instructors proudly explained to us how valuable it is. It is like a smart board, containing everything from birth to death of a person and what one can see after death. No wonder she claimed that the picture contains more knowledge than two Phd. And she also said people use this painting to visualize everything after death to get used to it. So they won’t be afraid of death and live with more courage in their present life.

Hi, i am windy.

I am going to say something about myself.                                                                            Actually I am a family-oriented person.A happy family is the most important thing I pursue.Here is the picture in my dream,I am reading poetry on a swing in front yard,seeing my children playing on the grass.Then my husband comes sitting close to me,handing me a cup of Cappucino.

I am also passionate about my career.I will be an actuary.I want to realize my value by performing my talent and making real contribution to society.I embrace a life in which I can keep learning,keep working,and keep improving myself.

I enjoy reading.A book I recently read is The Time Keeper,is a fiction about the Father Time, a man who invent to measure time, then get punished by God.Day and day, he has to listen every people asking for more time.It is an interesting but a little sad story which set people think about time.The author,Mitch Albom,published two books before, Tusday With Morrie, and Five People you meet in Heaven, and also very touching and impressive to me.

I am just a very simple girl. Family,friends,some books,Internet,a job,enough food and clothes,will be just enough for me to live happily.

Windy and Maruko

Hi, my name is Yingyi Yao. And you can call me Windy.It is much easier to remember.

The anime Sakura Maruko gave me a  happy childhood and I am going to love her for my whole life.

I came to U.S. half an year ago. I was so confused and sad to give up many things… But the new life is compensating me as I try hard to fit in the context. It was not going well all alone. Life is so real that it has up and downs. I feel I am more grown up as I went through so many things. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a nurse. I am supposed to be in a medical school but I choose to be an actuary in the future. The biggest love they gave me is their understanding and support.

I am not sure whether I am a funny person. But I do have a variety of interest and many many friends. I am good at playing badminton and tabletennis.I can play Chinese Zheng (a traditional string instrument).I like singing and playing logic games. I like travelling a lot! I had been many places and I sometimes traveled by myself.

I expect to prepare my career and develop friendships in Baruch. So far I enjoy my time here.
