Blogging

I have a few opinions about the blogging experience that i went through so far in FRO. In general, i really like blogging. I dont have a real blog or anything, but when i get an assignment that requires me to blog, i usually have a blast with it. I like it because it lets me release everything that is on my mind. I figure out alot about myself through blogging and give other people the chance to learn about me. I really like the blogging experience. There is not much that i dont like about it. I generally have a good time when we are required to write a blog and i look foward to it all the time. It definitely beats regular homework. I get to be myself when i blog and i find it amazing. There is nothing that i dont really like about the blogging experience, it has been great. The only blog i follow is my friends older brothers blog because its pretty funny and it has alot to do with people i know and the town i came from. I dont think i should really share a link of his blog, its somewhat secret. Thats all i have to say for this time. LANCE OUT.

Blogging (Alex Wieckowski)

I am new to this whole blogging thing and I found it interesting. I learned alot of new facts about my fellow classmates and became closer with them. Its pretty much what I expected, it is similar to twitter. What I don’t like about the blogging is that we are limited to certain tasks or assignment. I would like to post free write here on this blog so people can tell interesting stories about themselves or things that have happened to them, this would make us a lot closer.

Blogging – David Aptekar

So far my experience with blogging has been mediocre. This is my first time doing any sort of blog and it has only been useful in get to know my classmates slightly better, which i suppose was the whole purpose of this blog. I do not blog anywhere else or read any blogs, I do not feel the average person has anything interesting to say. The perks of this blog would have to be the ability to have a discussion about the blogs posted through the comments. If, however, the class did not have to complete anymore of these blogs I would not be upset in the slightest possible way.

Blogging Experience (Raymond Wu)

Hey Raymond here again. I think doing these blogging assignments are tedious. I like blogging and all but I don’t like it when it is being assigned as a mandatory task. Although I like to express my feelings and thoughts on these blogs, I don’t like how we are given different topics to blog about. It restrains me from going into other details I feel. I have blogged before but it is a private blog so I can freely express myself knowing that no one that I know would ever read it. I follow a few blogs of people who in a way share the same feeling as me at times. For example when I’m upset, I read a blog which is pretty depressing. So I know I’m not the only one out there who is feeling that way. It also helps me cope with my problems since sometimes other people have things harder than what I have to go through.

Blog Reflection – Manraj

So far blogging has been good, its interesting learning from people and also fun sharing about myself. I expected this because I follow not blogs but forums on technology (engadget, gizmodo) and its always different when learning about people instead of the latest technology. Sometimes I feel that blogging can be a little annoying depending on the assignments, however most of them have seemed to be on the positive side.

Its a different experience when learning about a person and I’m glad that we have this blog to learn about each other.

If you do like technology then here you go:

Thoughts About Blogging – William Yu

Blogging is something new to me. My blogging experience allowed me to see what other people are like and to show people who I am. What I like about blogging is that you can really say anything because you’re not going to be graded or corrected for writing your blog. I follow the vlogbrothers on Tumblr because they have interesting posts about many varying topics. They try to make the world a better place as each day goes by and they inspire me to do better things sometimes. Soooo, this has been my blogging experience so far. 🙂

Thoughts About Blogging (Christine Shin)

I personally do not like blogging. I’m more of a private person; I don’t like the idea that my thoughts, feelings, and dreams are online for everyone to see. But I do enjoy reading blogs. I feel like through the blogging assignments, I got to know my classmates better. I don’t really follow blogs… But I occasionally check out http://www.polyvore.com/ for fashion inspiration.

Thoughts on Blogging- Maritza Moreno

This was my first experience with blogging. I knew what blogging was before but never really like the whole idea of writing down personal things/experiences about myself . I am the type of person that likes to keep those things to myself and just share it with people who are very close to me. However, blogging for freshmen seminar has changed that for me.  Now, instead of it being a hassle its just a fun way to express your thoughts or ideas on certain topics.  For now  my blogging experience will be put to a stop but maybe sometime in the future ill  create my own blog with a couple of friends! 🙂

Thoughts about Blogging+About me+Perfect Class-Qiyuan Chen

Thoughts about blogging-

Not really a huge blogging fan, but I think so far I’m fine with it. Then again I’ve only done one blog so far prior to this.

Personally I feel like there isn’t a need to blog every week. Blogging should be something you want to do and would give you joy for doing it. But making blogs for classes kind of restricted the purpose of the blog. The stuff you write on your blog should be easily taken out of your brain and not something you would have to drag yourself to think of something interesting to talk about. But again, I’ve only done 2 blogs(this one included) so my opinion might change later on.

Now to make up some assignments…

About me-

I’m 18 years old asian boy living in Queens, NY. I graduated from Francis Lewis High School in June 2012. So far I have very little idea to what I’m going to do in Baruch, hopefully that’ll change in a few months. I enjoy playing handball once in a while. Not a hardcore player nor an active player. I’m really great at procrasinating, I can’t wait to get school over with. So far I enjoyed Baruch College very much, met a lot of new friends and lost a few old friends because we had to split to separate schools. Hopefully this will be a fun year.

Perfect Class-

My image of a perfect class is a teacher who can make the class laugh and share his knowledge while doing it. My math teacher back in junior year in High School was probably the best teacher I ever had. Classmates should have a decent sense of humor and knows when to be a bit laid back and when to be serious. Not talking while the teacher is speaking would be great because I simply cannot stand others running their mouth when I’m trying to pay attention. Whispering is fine but as long as it’s not going to last for the whole class. Anyway, I’m not that picky, as long as when people know when to be serious, its fine with me.

Thoughts about Blogging – Tiffany Mazza

So far my blogging experience has been pretty good. I didn’t mind writing about the different topics we were given and it was a nice change from the normal papers due in my other classes. I liked how we had a variety of topics to write about and even with each blog, there were different ways of approaching it (like a video, a song list, a story, etc.). I also like that you are able to comment on other people’s blogs and interact with everyone. I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like about my blogging experience except the fact that every time I wrote a blog it would erase it. But other than that, the blog is very easy to use and read. I don’t think it’s any different than what I expected a blog would be like. I’m not a blog person outside of this class so I don’t follow any online blogs
